Executive Housekeeper • Southwest Florida • Live-in or Live-out, Full-time


Executive Housekeeper opportunity available in Southwest Florida. The person will be required to execute all aspects of housekeeping for a multi-dwelling estate located in southwest Florida. The position is full-time and live-out, although accommodations might be provided for the right applicant. The property standard is that of a five-star luxury hotel.


Days of work are typically Monday to Friday, however, there will be times that additional time is required outside of the normal schedule, particularly during peak seasons. For example, this role will require regular weekend work during winter months.


The ideal candidate is someone who demonstrates the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and discretion; while also utilizing exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to develop positive working relationships with the estate’s family, estate staff, contractors, vendors, and others.


The person must also hold a valid Driver's License, with a clean driving record and be fully insurable.

PLEASE NOTE: The position is only open to individuals who hold current status to legally work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be considered. 


  • Working in concert with and under the guidance of the Estate Manager, responsible for all aspects of housekeeping, building out the team (temp/contract housekeeping staff) as required during peak season

  • Ensuring all daily housekeeping duties are executed to the highest standard while respecting the family’s standards and being mindful and cognizant of family and guest preferences

  • Be open to, suggest and manage evolving duties and responsibilities

  • Liaise and provide appropriate service levels to the family and guests

  • Schedule and execute larger cleaning projects on weekly, monthly or annual basis

  • Interior cleaning of all estate dwellings

  • Ensure exterior cleaning and maintenance of all outdoor “living areas” including cleaning of patio furniture, sweeping of walkways, etc.

  • Purchasing and inventory control where applicable

  • Ensure the estate dwellings are as pristine and welcoming as possible

  • Anticipate the needs of the family and their guests in advance of arrival and ensure that all requests are fulfilled in a timely manner

  • Ensure appropriate care of fine items such as wardrobe, artwork, and other valuables

  • Manage performance, set expectations, delegate assignments to temporary/contract housekeeping staff as required during peak times

  • Ensure all temporary/contract staff are trained to meet five-star standards of the estate

  • Schedule temporary/contract staff, approve time sheets and other related team responsibilities as required

  • Work respectfully with other household staff, contractors, vendors and others to ensure successful operation of the estate


  • Ideally, have previous experience as an Executive Housekeeper for an ultra-high-net-worth family

  • Excellent housekeeping & laundry skills and knowledge of cleaning and maintaining luxury surfaces and care of fine items

  • Must be flexible with work schedules for occasional events (pre, during and post event activities) and have experience scaling up or down as required and familiar with high season demands (can have up to 70 guests at peak)

  • Must be service oriented with strong communication skills

  • Must be gracious and able to handle difficult situations in a professional, calm solution minded manner

  • Must be highly self-motivated and engaged, fuelled with a passion for excellence and continuous improvement

  • Must have solid comfort and experience working in roles that have evolved continuously in terms to scope, scale, duties and responsibilities

  • Must be solution oriented, able to think outside the box, and have demonstrated ownership and accountability and a team orientation

  • Must be familiar with self-managing their schedule, used to working successive long days during peak seasons

  • Be able to anticipate and proactively prepare and execute on family and guest needs

  • Strong ability to multi-task with excellent time management

  • Demonstrated pride and enthusiasm to fulfill requirements

  • A self-starter that can work effectively without constant supervision

  • Must have exceptional attention to detail

  • Individual must have a polished and well-groomed professional appearance

  • Must always exercise complete discretion and maintain confidentiality
