Property Manager • Vancouver, British Columbia • Live-in is preferred, Full-time

 

Seeking a full-time Property Manager (live-in preferred) to work for a couple and manage their primary home in Vancouver as well as a secondary residence in Whistler. The position offers comfortable accommodation.

 

The Property Manager will be responsible for the maintenance of the residences’ interior and exterior elements as well as the oversight and coordination of trades, vendors and vehicles.

 

The position offers an excellent salary and benefits as well as access to a vehicle if the Property Manager does not have their own.

PLEASE NOTE: The position is only open to individuals who hold current status to legally work in Canada. Sponsorship will not be considered. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively manage all aspects of the estate including property maintenance, renovations, and special projects.

  • Management and supervision of vendors and trades for regular maintenance, seasonal maintenance and other special projects.

  • Coordinate and execute logistical arrangements for special events.

  • Manage budgets for both day-to-day estate operations and special projects, including monthly reporting.

  • Management and monitoring of household mechanical systems as well as household inventories (batteries, lightbulbs, etc.).

  • Maintain security measures and protocols, ensuring that the estate is secure at all times.

  • Administer and approve purchase orders, invoices and time sheets, charge accounts and expenses, and other reports and documentation.

  • Management of vehicles and record keeping.

  • Assist on an as-needed basis to care for the family dogs, including weekends if the family is away.

  • Travel to a second home in Whistler to help maintain the interior and exterior of the residence.

  • Always maintain confidentiality.

  • Anything else that might be required from time to time.

SKILLS & APTITUDES:

  • A minimum of 3 years of previous experience working in a semi-formal residence or equivalent.

  • Flexible with schedule in conjunction with peak use of the property.

  • Proven property management skills and knowledge.

  • Able to take challenging situations in stride while remaining professional and calm.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow through on all projects assigned.

  • Well groomed, polished, with a professional presentation.

  • Must possess excellent time management skills.

  • Applicants should be energetic and able to anticipate the needs of principals.

  • Must maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
