Job #117 Full-time Nanny - Housekeeper for Downtown Toronto Family
Seeking a full-time, live-out Nanny-Housekeeper for a young family downtown, TTC accessible. The position is Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Nanny-Housekeeper would be responsible for;
-
the care, nurturing and wellbeing of a toddler and an infant;
-
cooking for the family;
-
general housekeeping; and
-
being a proactive household organizer.
Primary Responsibilities:
-
Caregiver/Nanny for a toddler and an infant. Mother is on maternity leave and father mostly works from home
-
Be friendly and kind to the children, playing both indoors and outdoors daily
-
Be a “second set of hands” for the parents, assisting with household tasks and organization.

Cooking daily for the family (using recipes provided)
-
Meal planning and grocery lists
-
Manage household inventory
-
General housekeeping/tidying and organization of the home (the household has a weekly cleaning lady)

Laundry for the entire household
-
Anything else that might be required from time to time
Qualifications:
-
Must be kind, compassionate with a happy personality and can-do attitude

Be sincerely child-friendly and willing to engage and nurture children in a positive way

Cook and be able to follow written recipes
-
Excellent time management skills
-
Takes initiative to meet the family’s needs
-
A proactive worker who is able to anticipate problems
-
Is able to follow a schedule and complete the tasks assigned without constant reminders

A self-directed worker who is also willing to receive special instructions from the employer

An ability to follow family priorities

Must have a minimum of 5-years childcare, housekeeping, laundry, and cooking experience in a similar style household

Should have attention to detail when housekeeping. Keep the home hygienic, sanitized and safe (for adults and children).

Can lift 30 lbs

A very good command of English (written and verbal). Should be able to leave notes for the employer(s) that are legible.

An organized and systematic worker. For example, should not be told to clean the refrigerator. They should know it should be cleaned and re-organized on a weekly basis.

Be able to create and follow checklists of duties to be done on a daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis

Valid certification in CPR and First Aid or a willingness to become certified

Calm and proactive in emergency situations

Must hold current status to legally work in Canada
