Job #172 Toronto-based Housekeeper position

Toronto family is seeking an experienced Housekeeper for their home. The position is full-time and permanent. The schedule is Monday to Friday with a flexible start time. The ideal is 9am to 6pm with a break for lunch.

Applicants should have professional experience in the areas of housekeeping, laundry, ironing, wardrobe management, and must be able to drive with a G-level driver’s license.

Applicants must hold current status to work legally in Canada and be fully vaccinated against COVID.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• General housekeeping with attention to detail

• Laundry, ironing, folding and returning items to correct locations. Check labels prior to laundering.

• Bed linen is ironed

• When cleaning bathrooms, replenish towels and toiletries

• Wardrobe management and organizing garments for dry-cleaning

• Answering the telephone and taking accurate messages

• Answering the door in a safe and secure manner

• Oversight of trades

• Let the employer know when inventories need to be replenished

• The kitchen is busy and needs to be kept very clean. This includes deep cleaning and organization of the refrigerator and other appliances.

• Let the employers know if something is malfunctioning

• Taking out garbage and recycling

• Walk through the home prior to leaving and follow closing duties

• Let the employers know when you are leaving

• Anything else that might be required from time to time

Skills and Aptitudes:

• A happy and positive personality

• 5 years’ housekeeping experience in a professional home

• A G-level driver’s license

• Good laundry, hand-washing, and ironing skills

• Good communication skills

• An ability to work both independently and / or receive instructions from employers

• An organized worker with an eye for detail

• Must be fully COVID vaccinated

• Must be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement

• Must be legally qualified to work in Canada
