We are looking for a full-time, live-out, and experienced travelling  Nanny to work with a Lead Nanny sharing responsibility for two children ages 3 and a 10-month old. The position is Toronto-based, although significant international travel is required. Travel responsibilities are shared with the Lead Nanny. The schedule is rotating and split with the Lead Nanny.

The position suits an individual who has training in early childhood education and previous experience working as a professional nanny for an ultra-high-net-worth family. Applicants must also be comfortable working as a member of a team. The position can be either live-in or live-out. The position offers exceptional pay for an exceptional and energetic nanny who is at ease working in a busy household.

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada and be fully COVID-19 vaccinated.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Overall care, safety and well-being of two children (ages 3 and a 10-month old) as well as any future children

  • Provide a nurturing environment that cultivates interests, manners and emotional support

  • There is a Private Chef who prepares meals for the eldest child who eats what the rest of the family eats

  • The nanny will prepare meals for the youngest

  • Be prepared to travel frequently and often with short notice

  • The nanny will help cultivate good manners in general

  • Dressing children and laundering clothes

  • Caring for the children’s hygiene including grooming, brushing hair, and safe bathing

  • Light housekeeping that includes tidying children’s bedrooms, bathrooms and play areas, sterilizing bottles and toys

  • Following family disciplinary guidelines if required. The Nanny should know when to be gentle and when to be firm.

  • Driving children to appointments, scheduled activities, playdates, etc. This is coordinated with the mother.

  • Organizing in-house and out of house activities like arts and crafts, soccer, play dates, museum visits, aquarium, etc.

  • Engage the children in educational activities — colours, numbers, alphabet, word sounds, etc. Identify areas of interest and develop stimulating activities around them.

  • Maintaining a healthy and safe environment always for the children

  • Maintain a daily logbook that is shared with the Lead Nanny

  • Shop for the children and conduct other child-related errands

  • Communicate health or behavioural concerns to the parents and Lead Nanny

  • Changing diapers

  • Potty training

  • Encourage healthy sleep routines and follow a daily schedule

  • Babysitting when parents are out or travelling

  • Overnighting if parents are travelling

  • Caring for the children at night if the parents are not at home or are having an event at the home

  • Packing for children when the family is preparing to travel. Develop packing lists for different destinations, which are primarily international. The family travels privately.

  • Following established safety protocols always

  • The working spirit of the home is one of mutual and collaborative support

  • Handling special requests and related duties as required from time to time

  • Be discreet… always

  • This job profile is dynamic and  will evolve as the family’s needs change

  • Other duties that might be required from time to time.


Skills and Aptitude Requirements:

  • Childcare experience with infants to toddlers

  • Experience working for an ultra high net worth family

  • Experience travelling with families internationally that includes travelling with infants and toddlers on both short and long haul flights

  • Ability to travel on short notice

  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability; must be able to work in a self-directed manner with limited oversight or in coordination with the Lead Nanny. The Lead Nanny will do onboarding, although the mother is very hands on.

  • Prior responsibility for scheduling and overseeing children’s medical and dental care

  • Formal training in early childhood education is a definite asset

  • Discretion, trustworthiness and reliability are essential

  • Safety, security and environmental awareness

  • Neatness and presentability in all aspects

  • Must be willing to sign a Confidentiality Agreement

  • Must be punctual and organized

  • Must be dog-friendly (there is a cute Aussiedoodle). There is also a ranch and there will be farm animals on it.

  • Must have a G-Level Driver’s License and be fully insurable

  • Should be CPR and First Aid certified or willing to receive certification

  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19

  • Must have a valid Canadian passport with no travel restrictions

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
