
Opportunity for an experienced Engineer / Technology Officer to oversee and manage the mechanical and IT systems of a large, multi-building waterfront estate in Naples, Florida. The standard is that of a five-star luxury resort. The ideal candidate is a person with experience in IT, AV, smart-home technology, net-zero energy systems (geothermal, solar panels, etc.), and commercial-grade mechanical systems with an ability to develop and foster strong working relationships with staff, vendors, contractors, and the principal. They are self-motivated, and solution-minded. It’s a unique property and is a role that presents challenges and suits a person who seeks challenges as growth opportunities.
The successful candidate with 15-20 years of experience will develop and execute comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules and research, anticipate, identify, and address technical and integrated systems concerns related to the property. The incumbent in this role will support management with “mission-critical” escalations and will work with the family office at multiple levels ranging from technical and administrative to the owner directly. Discretion and complete confidentiality, as well as ensuring that all information is handled in a professional and secure manner is essential to this role.
This position is a full-time, live-out and permanent. It pays well and offers an allowance towards benefits and 401K. A relocation allowance is negotiable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Apply strong organizational and administrative skills to consistently and appropriately build out and execute preventative maintenance schedules across systems

Implement comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules

Develop and align strategic planning within established protocols and expectations

Liase with the Head of AV/IT to execute and uphold security and IT protocols for consistency across the extended portfolio

Analyze, evaluate, and solve issues and service requests for efficient resolution and uninterrupted Principal & Guest experience; ensure management is kept fully up to date on outstanding issues.

Own the relationship with vendors and ensure appropriate short- and long-term maintenance plans are executed for optimal asset preservation and operation

Identify continuous improvement opportunities by leveraging knowledge of systems and optimal cross-industry practices

Collaborate with management, the family office and valued third party vendors to predict and ensure user expectations are exceeded

Carry out special projects and conduct the necessary research and analysis required for optimal outcome

Provide exemplary customer service and exercise good judgment, within established procedures and policies, to resolve AV/IT and related mechanical issues efficiently and effectively

Manage multiple PC systems, networks, mobile devices, and audio video systems for uninterrupted use

Implement and manage a systems records database for the Estate

Support additional residence staff on IT-related tasks

Lead ad-hoc tasks, projects, and assignments as determined by the Principal and/or Director of Properties.
QUALIFICATIONS:

15+ years of experience supporting residential or business systems as well as supporting executives and staff in an efficient manner to troubleshoot IT & mechanical incidents, perform root cause analysis and provide solutions

Technical skills in Windows 10/11, MAC OS, iOS), LAN/WAN Networking, Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), experience with Cisco Meraki, Lutron, Crestron and understanding of luxury estate operation
