Opportunity for an experienced Lead  Housekeeper to work on a private multi-building estate and associated portfolio of properties in Naples, Florida that operate to the standard of a five-star boutique luxury hotel. The individual we are looking for is self-motivated, enjoys workday variety and challenges, and seeks ongoing professional improvement. They should demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and discretion while utilizing exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to develop positive working relationships with the estate’s principal, estate staff, contractors, vendors, and others. They should be both self-directed and willing to receive direction.

 

This position is a full-time, live-out, and permanent. It pays well and offers an allowance towards benefits and 401K. A relocation allowance is negotiable.

 

Applicants must have a driver’s license, be fully insurable, and have their own vehicle. They must hold current status to legal work in the United States. Sponsorship is not being considered. They should also be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work in concert with and under the guidance of the Executive Housekeeper and Estate Manager to take responsibility (along with other staff members) for all aspects of housekeeping

• Ensuring all daily housekeeping duties are executed to the highest standard while respecting the principals’ expectations and being mindful and cognizant of principal and guest preferences

• Liaise and provide appropriate service levels to principal and guests

• Ensure the residences are as pristine and welcoming as possible

• Be open to, suggest, and manage evolving duties and responsibilities

• Execute established schedules for larger cleaning projects on weekly, monthly or annual basis.

• Interior cleaning of all residences (principal, guest, boathouse, and surrounding properties)

• Ensure exterior cleaning and maintenance of all outdoor “living areas” including cleaning of pools, patio furniture, sweeping of walkways etc. 

• Assist in the management of inventories like cleaning products, toiletries, etc.

• Ensure appropriate care of fine items such as wardrobe, artwork, and other valuables.

• Work respectfully with other household staff, contractors, vendors and others to ensure successful operation of the estate.

 

Qualifications:

• Ideally, have previous strong experience as a Lead Housekeeper (or equivalent) for ultrahigh net worth principal/s

• Experience in hospitality, hotel management, yachting, culinary industries is a definite asset

• Must have interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work successfully with others

• Demonstrable experience with identifying and optimizing efficiencies

• Excellent housekeeping and laundry skills and knowledge of cleaning and maintaining luxury surfaces and care of fine items

• Must have prior experience in fast paced environments with multiples events and high and low seasons and be comfortable scaling up or down as required (can have up to 100 guests at peak)

• Must be service oriented with strong communication skills

• Must be gracious and able to handle difficult situations in a professional, calm solution minded manner

• Must be self-motivated and engaged, fuelled with a passion for excellence and continuous improvement. Must also be willing to receive direction from others.

• Able to demonstrate ownership and accountability in all aspects of the role

• Strong ability to multi-task with excellent time management skills

• Must have exceptional attention to detail. 

• Individual must have a polished and well-groomed professional appearance

• This role will require longer hours, including evenings and weekends, particularly during peak seasons.

• Must have a clean driver’s abstract and access to a vehicle
