Portico recruits Property Managers who focus on the physical elements of a home or estate — the structure, systems, and exterior environment. These are the people who keep the house itself running smoothly, from the roof down to the driveway, while working closely with licensed tradespeople to get the right work done at the right time.

 

A Property Manager understands plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and basic structural maintenance well enough to notice when something doesn’t feel right and to know when it’s time to call in a professional. They may handle small fixes, reset breakers, or adjust smart‑home controls, but their main role is to coordinate, supervise, and follow up on the work being done by others. They are respected by vendors because they have an understanding of industry jargon, and how things should work. They recognize potential problems before they become actual problems. Finally, they bring a steady, practical eye to the upkeep of the property so the family doesn’t have to worry about the details.

We look for Property Managers who:

• Understand the core systems of a house and can speak clearly with vendors and contractors about what’s needed

• Track maintenance, plan preventive work, and keep an eye on warranties and service schedules

• Manage both the interior and exterior of the property: landscaping, driveways, lighting, security, smart‑home systems, and much more

• Communicate calmly and clearly with the family and / or and Estate Manager, so owners feel confident the interior and exterior of the residence are in good hands.
